Biography:
Marc Gaudart has worked for the financial services and telecomms industries for the last 17 years, across most continents, serving leading organizations in Western and Eastern Europe, North America and Latin America.
His work has mainly centered around retail “credit”: from developing new acquisition strategies, implementing automated decisioning tools for customer management, and enhancing collections activities through improved systematization and prioritization. In these business areas, Marc has worked to implement new or improved infrastructures, as well as designing sophisticated strategies that made best use of an existing infrastructure. Marc has also worked in other key business areas such as earnings improvement programs, branch network revitalization programs, growth strategies design, M&A, etc.
Marc joined Experian in 1990, and held senior positions with the company across many countries. He joined McKinsey & co in 2000 and was a senior member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. He joined Experian Decision Analytics in 2003 after the merger of Experian and Scorex and today leads our Global teams, including our Global consulting practice.

Biography:
William is Director of Economics for Experian. He has worked for many years to help the world’s leading private sector organisations understand how economic change will impact on their business. At Experian, he is responsible for global macroeconomic and regional analysis, forecasting and modelling. His group are currently working on applying economic forecasting to credit market forecasting, portfolio stress testing under alternative scenarios at a customer segmented level. For many years he was Managing Director of European Economics at Global Insight and Vice President of European Fixed Income Research at Merrill Lynch. He holds degrees from the Universities of Essex in the UK and Connecticut in the USA.

Richard Topham

Biography:
After spending 12 years designing and developing new business solutions for HBOS (the UK’s leading mortgage bank) Richard then ran business process design and the Web development team for a UK mortgage sourcing company. In 2002 Richard joined Experian, managing the development of Origination solutions for several large UK telco companies, including T-Mobile, Vodafone and ntl:, plus a variety of mortgage banks and European finance companies. Since 2006 Richard has been heading up the Experian Decision Analytics core solutions team, focused primarily on origination solutions and he has worked with some of the leading clients of Experian Decision Analytics around the world, designing and implementing their Origination solutions.

Matthew Dodd

Biography:
Matthew Dodd has responsibility for Experian’s Customer Management solutions. Key responsibilities are to develop the current Customer Management solution for telecommunications, capitalising on existing success in established markets and verticals, such as Retail Banking. Prior to Experian he spent 10 years as a Senior Product Manager with First Data, Europe’s largest third party transaction processor, where he managed all risk, fraud and marketing solutions for credit card issuers. His role involved developing new business solutions with large banks as well as implementing partner solutions and managing the partner relationships

Jim Nowell

Biography:
Jim started work as a Risk Analyst with GE Capital. He progressed to become a Portfolio Risk Manager, responsible for the Storecards Portfolio. In 1993, he worked on the implementation of the Beta version of Strategy Manager. In 1998, Jim left GE Capital and joined the Strategy Management Consultancy team. He has designed New Business and Customer Management solutions for a wide range of clients and markets, both in Europe and North America. After spending 8 years in the Consultancy Team, Jim moved over to work on the Core Solutions team, providing Business Consultancy input into the design of the Originations solution for the Unsecured Lending, SMEs and Telcos Vertical Markets. Since 2006, Jim has also been developing and delivering “SimRisk”, an interactive Business Game training course in which analysts are shown what to look for when developing a Credit Strategy. In April 2008, Jim moved over to work on the Training Team to focus on this full time

Biography:
Terry has 16 years of experience in the credit and collections industry spanning three continents: Europe, North America and Asia, especifically the Far East. Experience in Finance, Public, Retail and Utility sectors including 4 years focussing on Business Process Outsourcing within collections environments. Terry has developed a diverse business background in consumer credit management and collections. He has worked at specialist collections businesses Wescot Credit Services and Legal and Trade and held key strategic roles for Courts Overseas Furnishers Ltd and Vertex Data Science Limited. A varied industry backround coupled with a keen appreciation of the effective deployment of systems, people and processes within credit management and collection operations provides a robust capability to support business improvements. His responsibilities within these organizations include the development and implementation of collections processes and systems as well as performance tracking of Credit Portfolios, Score Cards, Collections, Provision, Operational Service Levels and Bad Debt.

Nick Mothershaw

Biography:
Nick is responsible for the strategic direction of Experian’s fraud solutions for the UK and International market. This includes the Detect and Hunter products, which have now been integrated into a cooperative single solution, Authentication services and a host of new initiatives in the customer management which we will be bringing to market soon. Key to the role is keeping Experian’s Fraud solutions at the forefront of fraud management by bringing to bear additional data sources, detection techniques and referral management tools. It’s also about expanding the scope of the solution to resolve more of our client’s fraud challenges internationally and beyond the point of application. Nick originally joined Experian to manage the Hunter II programme within MCL Software Ltd. Previously Nick was a director of a company providing global solutions within the broader Criminal Justice arena. He is married with three children and is into amateur dramatics in his spare time.

Philippe Jaoui

Biography:
Doctor in statistics and economy, Philippe Jaoui began his carrier in 1983 in the group Credit Agricole where he was in charge of the definition of the annual marketing plan for the group. In 1985, he joined COREF, consulting subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignation, to be project manager for the marketing solutions in the banking market. Then in 1991, Line Data bought COREF and he became director of the development of Micromarketing products. In 1994 he took charge of the Italian bureau of LINE DATA COREF. In 1996 Experian took control of LINE DATA COREF, and he became Deputy-managing director of the company in France.
In 1998, Experian merged with SG2 in France and Philippe became Director of the risk department, Marketing credit. He was Managing Director of Experian-Scorex, in charge of both marketing and risk decision solutions. Since April 2006, he has been the Regional Director of Experian Business Strategies, in charge of Western and Southern Europe. During his career, Philippe has been working towards improving the usage of databases by introducing intelligence and strategies into the information.

Bob Evans

Biography:
Bob Evans is Group Executive, Global Services Business Expansion. In this role he has a wide remit that includes global responsibility for strategy, sales, product and investments. Bob joined TSYS in 2000 and is one of the founding members of TSYS Europe. Before joining TSYS, Bob led the DMR Consulting Cards Practice where the services offered ranged from strategic consulting to large project delivery. Previously with Lloyds TSB, his banking career included trade finance, treasury and cards, where he held operational roles in both issuing and acquiring together with representing Lloyds at a number of industry bodies.

Farkas Balázs Hadady

Biography:
Mr. Farkas Balázs HADADY has been the Managing Director of the Banking Association for Central & Eastern Europe (BACEE), Budapest, Hungary since July 2007. His primary duty is general management in partnership with the Secretary General. His main areas of responsibility are: marketing and sales, communication, membership campaigns, human resources, organisational development, third party management, and bank credit risk analysis. Mr. Hadady started his working career at BACEE as an Analyst in 2005, and worked in this position till his promotion to the above executive role. His main duties as analyst were as follows: analysis of banks and banking systems with special emphasis on credit risk; preparing case studies and delivering presentations on bank risk analysis at conferences, seminars and trainings organised by BACEE on its own (eg. BACEE’s Bank and Country Risk Conference) or together with partner organisations, such as Credit Comments (eg. Bank analysis training and Masterclass), KPMG, Moodys, Fitch, Florida Internaitonal Bankers Association, Information Systems Audit and Control Association and The Institute of Operational Risk.
Mr Hadady has been professor of Finance and Macro and Micro Economics at various universities: Alliant International University, Budapest Business School, Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration from 2002 - 2005. During the latter period he was also worked for Waterworks of Budapest Co. Ltd as project manager in 2003. Prior to his academic work he held various project related positions, such as Strategic European Supply Planner/Financial Analyst at Unilever Bestfoods Europe and e-Business specialist at Unilever Hungary Ltd. from 2001 onwards.

Gilles Debeunne

Biography:
Gilles Debeunne has been the Managing Director of Leasecom Group Paris France since 2000. His primary duty is General Management and his main areas of responsibility are: Information Systems, Finance, Operations Management and Risk Management. He is also a Board member. His responsibilities have covered all aspects of a fast growing company for nearly 10 years. He has fulfilled varied projects from merger (2000) to LBO (2002), including securitisation (2005). He also initiated organisational changes to produce a positive impact on risk Management. Gilles Debeunne founded Equilease in 1992 and was the CEO of the company until 1998. After its merger with Continental Leasing, he was appointed to the groups head office. At the end of 1999, Continental Leasing and Novabail merged to become Leasecom. He has been the Managing Director since then.

Martin van Loon

Biography:
Martin joined ABN AMRO in April 2005. He is currently responsible for Collections and is Chief Provision Officer for the Netherlands. Martin started his career with CCN (later Experian) where he held a number of positions including Director and General Manager of the Benelux. He left to launch the European operations of Interelate (CRM) after which he joined LogicaCMG as head of Business Process Outsourcing and Solutions Management. Martin graduated at the Delft University of Technology with a MSc in Electrical Engineering. Subsequent to that he holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Jo Buxton

Biography:
Jo Buxton joined Experian in 1988 as an Account Manager working alongside major Financial Services clients to provide management of their marketing databases. Her responsibilities have covered all aspects of direct marketing across a multitude of industry sectors including financial services, retail, banking and utilities. Jo fulfilled varied roles for Experian Marketing Services before taking lead of the business consultancy team to deliver effective solutions that assisted US credit card companies to develop marketing strategies and product launches for the UK marketplace. As a Director of the Business Development for Experian Decision Analytics, Jo’s current responsibilities include heading up the Global Optimization Consulting team.
This includes the development, and promotion of Experian’s Optimization Solutions outside the US. Her role is cross-divisional as well as multi territory aligning Experian’s marketing and credit/risk products. Outside of work she is a trustee of The Spark Children’s Festival and spends most of her spare time running around after her two sons.

Herman Peeters

Biography:
Herman Peeters (43) joined Laser Nederland BV in 1996 when it was then known as PrimeLine Services. After being responsible for Collections Management and Customer Services, he was asked to set up a solid Credit Risk Management framework for the entire Customer Cycle. The main focus for him and his team was bespoke application- and behavioural scoring, analytics, risk modelling, and maintenance of the new risk systems. Fraud Management (Internal and External Fraud) is also managed in his team.
Before joining his current company he worked for a major home-shopping company in The Netherlands where he also was responsible for Risk Management.
He started his career as an account manager B2B at a local branch of a major Dutch Banking Society.
His challenge will always be to translate the complexity of Credit Risk subjects into understandable, pragmatic and hands-on experiences for non-experts on the subject.

Volkan Döşoğlu

Volkan is responsible for the granting strategies for all the loans under consumer finance area of responsibility including; credit cards, cash loans, car loans, overdrafts and mortgages, and giving strategic support for adopting decision and strategy management systems like NBSM and probe for better achievement of granting and collection functions. He also participates in application score and behaviour score development groups and helps guide the analysts, as well as numerous team leading activities.

Mike Bradford

Biography:
Mike Bradford (48) is the Director with corporate responsibility for Data Protection and Consumer Affairs across Experian’s UK and International businesses. From June this year he was elected President of the Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers (ACCIS), representing over 30 consumer credit bureaus in 22 European countries and associate members from all other continents. Mike is a regular contributor to industry publications and presents at UK and International conferences on data protection, data sharing, marketing and credit, regulatory and industry issues, both from a compliance and commercial perspective. Following a law degree, his background prior to Experian includes management consultancy and senior and executive management roles within the UK financial services industry during which time he was appointed Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Banking. During this time Mike chaired the Chartered Building Societies Institute at both local and regional level. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and has been a Director of Registry Trust Limited. Mike is married and lives in Nottingham, UK.
