Experian Spain Credit Day

11 December 2008, Madrid, Experian Spain Credit Risk Day

Innovative solutions for delinquency: positive bureau and collections

Last December the 11th, Experian gathered almost 100 delegates from over 40 companies in the Experian Risk Day in Madrid to present its services offering to tackle current challenges in the credit risk management. The main topics of the day were the positive information on credit service, which enables to reduce delinquencies and to increase revenue, as well as the strategic and operational collections management systems, which helps to increase the recuperation ratio and cut down the operational costs of the debt management.

Two important international entities participated in the event with the results of their experiences with the positive bureau and the Experian system for debt management. BBVA participated in the event to show how the positive bureau has enabled the bank to improve its strategies in credit risk in Latam. The entity has used the information provided throughout the whole credit risk cycle: from origination, to customer management and collections. The Dutch bank, ABN Amro, announced that it has registered an improvement of 24% in its recuperation ratio and has increased the productivity of its collections team by 70%, thanks to the implementation of Tallyman, Experian’s collections tool. Furthermore, many organisations had the opportunity to meet with Experian’s experts to discuss about the topics of their interest.

In this way, attendees to the event could realise how Experian can help them to have the full control of the risk and keep its business growth and profitability. Experian’s main objective is to support its clients to manage and optimise the risk and gain operational efficiencies throughout the customer relationship.

Presentations:

Positive bureau
Organisations can assess more accurately the credit worthiness of an applicant with the information provided by a positive bureau. This service offers advantages also for consumers as it highlights the positive aspects of their credit history allowing them to have more access to credit and in better conditions.

Collections
Experian offers a unique set of products and services for collections that covers the whole customer cycle. Our offering includes the four key elements for an appropriate debt management:  Knowing your customers, understanding your customers; targeting your customers and interacting with them.

Collections Forum

25 November 2008, UK, Collections Forum 2008
Not only has the economy been challenged by the velocity of market events that have occurred since 2007, but entire industries are under pressure to improve recovery rates and maximise profitability. As macro economic conditions continue to change, portfolios are coming under stress and delinquency levels continue to increase. In response to these deteriorating conditions, the Collections Forum will give you an excellent opportunity to join a range of industry experts to discuss experiences and opportunities to maximise the performance of your portfolio within this current climate.

Presentations:

Knowing your customers. Chasing debt that has a low probability of being recovered or will naturally self-correct is costly. Through correctly identifying who to collect from, identity confirmation and accurate contact data the targeted tracing of customers, including those who may have moved to avoid obligations, is optimised.

Understanding your customers. By combining multiple data sources, segmentation and analytical modelling means a profound new ability to plan collections activities based on what is known about a customer, their behaviour and overall debt situation with multiple organisations rather what is known about the specific account in question, leading to a comprehensive, customer-centric knowledge base.

Targeting your customers. Through increased customer understanding, individualised contact strategies for each distinct segment can be realised which will allow reduced manual processing, increased overall efficiency and improved cash flow through more effective collection activities and payment options. In addition positive relationships with customers that still represent profit potential can be maintained.
